This book should be on the required reading list for all - students and adults alike! If you're looking for a clear cut way to make a difference in combating climate change, this book is for you. Making Shift Happen breaks down how we, as a society, can alter our behavior in order to alter our environment. For me personally, combating climate change felt like such an overwhelming task that almost seemed hopeless. This book gives me hope for the future. It breaks down, step by step, what we can do, how we can shift our own behaviors, and how we can shift the behavior of others towards making more sustainable choices. Easy to read. Backed by science. Tons of examples. Couldn't recommend this book enough!

This book teaches you about different behavioral factors that influence how we think about and act for the environment. More importantly, it walks you through how to design environmental campaigns, policies, and other interventions with these factors in mind. It's been really valuable to my learning as a student studying how behavior change, education, and communication can positively impact the environment.
